What to expect from Grip & Go Rossendale
Based at the Adrenaline Centre in Haslingden, Lancashire, Grip & Go is a fun packed activity centre, perfect for all the family, of any climbing ability.
Featuring 18 activities, covering 16 walls and 2 feature walls… you seriously will know where to start first!
Having visited Grip & Go previously for a friend’s party, it was nice for Liv to kick back and fully enjoy everything Grip & Go had to offer during the half term.
When should you arrive at the Grip & Go Climbing Centre
A safety briefing is given before you are let loose on the walls and your climbing harness is supplied to you and checked it is correctly tightened and fastened by a qualified instructor.
This exercise takes approximately 45 minutes, so make sure you turn up early and in plenty of time before your allotted climb time.
What can adults do at Grip & Go?
Adults were certainly having just as much fun as children, but if you prefer to keep your feet firmly on the ground, then a cafe and observation area is within Grip & Go. Perfect for parents who need a rest – the area has a perfect viewing of all the climbing walls too.
All the walls are different, each with its own theme, offering great variety for the hour long climbing experience. Grip & Go is very colourful, yet despite everything going on, isn’t as noisy as you would expect!
The cafe area is comfortable, with local magazines on offer to flick through and drink and food refreshments too. The whole area is very clean and very well maintained and even with 18 walls, the area seems very spacious.
Mini Me is a huge fan of the centre and as it is within a 5 mile radius from us, it is very convenient. One of the coolest activities around at the moment, it is something I am considering lessons in for her.
Not only will it hone her climbing skills, but will also develop her co-ordination skills. Climbing at Grip & Go is a great all round sport… that is indoors!
No prior experience is required to visit Grip & Go, nor equipment and it is recommended that you were sensible footwear – trainers are perfect. Wellies are not as we found out the first time we attended, rock climbing shoes are not permitted.

The Leap Of Faith, which is an absolute adrenaline must is an additional £2.50 per person. Mini Me has done the Leap Of Faith jump and absolutely loved it, it is well worth a try and is an awesome memory to take away with you!
