What We Ordered at Hard Rock Cafe Manchester

Well, my starter wasn’t particularly Keto friendly, it’s hard to find a starter that is, however my main meal certainly was!

A serving of the Legendary Nachos at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Starters & Shareables Menu

To start, I chose for the Legendary Nachos (£11.95) with a side of guacamole – I last had this dish on a visit to the Hard Rock Cafe in Warsaw, Poland and thoroughly enjoyed it.

This generous portion of crispy tortilla chips was layered with black beans, queso, fresh pico de gallo, spicy jalapeños, melted Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, pickled red onions, green onions and finished with lime crema.

There was a fantastic mix of crunch, spice and cheesiness – definitely a great dish to share before a main meal or as a snack while on a city centre shopping trip.

A portion of the Hard Rock Cafe One Night in Bangkok Spicy Shrimp starter dish.

Helen chose the One Night in Bangkok Spicy Shrimp (£14.95) – a crispy, golden-fried shrimp dish tossed in a creamy, spicy sauce, topped with green onions and served on a bed of creamy coleslaw topped with sliced crispy tortilla.

The portion size was just right for a starter and the sauce had just the right amount of kick without being too overpowering.

Main Courses

A Steak Cobb salad at the Hard Rock Cafe.

For my main, I ordered the Steak Cobb Salad (£16.95), swapping the usual blue cheese for Feta cheese. The dish featured grilled steak on a bed of fresh mixed greens, with cucumber, smashed hard-boiled egg, sweetcorn, smoked bacon, grilled onions, tomatoes, all tossed in ranch dressing.

I chose not to have the ranch dressing and instead opted for a side pot of sour cream (£1.25)

The steak was cooked just as requested (top tip: let your server know how you’d like your steak prepared). It was fresh but still hearty, even without any carbs.

A main dish portion of the Barbecue Chicken at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Helen opted for the Barbecue Chicken (Gluten Free) (£19.95) – a half chicken, brined and basted in house-made barbecue sauce, then roasted until fork-tender.

Served with seasoned fries, coleslaw and smokehouse beans, this was a classic comfort dish and the chicken was juicy, smoky and packed with flavour.

Dessert

Home-Made Apple Cobbler on a pink dessert bowl.

Helen treated herself to the Home-Made Apple Cobbler (£8.95) – an old-fashioned apple cobbler made with warm Granny Smith apples, baked until golden brown and topped with vanilla bean ice cream and caramel sauce. It did look super yummy!

This was the perfect balance of sweet and tart, and the contrast between the warm cobbler and cold ice cream made it a comforting, indulgent dessert. You can check out the full Hard Rock Cafe menu here.

Children’s Menu at The Hard Rock Cafe

For families looking to eat out in Manchester, the Hard Rock cafe is a fantastic choice – especially for half term fun in the city!

With a substantial Children’s menu (for ages 10 years and under), that includes a meal, side dish and drink for £11.75, children will also receive a fun Captain Messi Collectible toy to remind them of their visit to the restaurant.

Drinks – Refillable Soft Drinks & Alcoholic Beverages

Two full Stella Artois pint glasses stood next to a restaurant menu.

Hard Rock Cafe serves Coca-Cola products and one great perk is that soft drinks are refillable.

We opted for a Coke Zero (£3.80), which meant unlimited refills throughout the meal and also a cheeky pint of Stella Artois Lager Top (£4.95), a refreshing choice to pair with the rich flavours of the food.

Drinks menu with 2 for 1 Happy Hour options available.

There are plenty of cocktail options available, with fantastic 2 for 1 Happy Hour offers on selected drinks at set times throughout the week.

Atmosphere and Ambience at Hard Rock Cafe Manchester

Hard Rock Cafe Manchester is well-known for its rock-inspired décor and memorabilia, and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

Scattered throughout the restaurant were several pieces from the Gallagher brothers, paying homage to the legendary Manchester band Oasis.

A selection of rock memorabilia including clothing suits, images and guitars.

The background music was a mix of light rock classics, with music videos playing on large TV screens around the venue. Seating was spacious and even when it got busy, it didn’t feel too cramped.

When to Visit the Restaurant

We arrived at 1:00pm on a Friday, and the restaurant was moderately quiet, making it a relaxing spot for lunch. However, by the time we left at 3:00pm, the place had filled up considerably.

Later in the evening at 6:30pm, when we walked past again, it was fully packed, with a buzzing atmosphere.

Hard Rock Cafe Merchandise – T-Shirts, Glasses & Captain Messi Collection

One cool feature of Hard Rock Cafe Manchester is the merchandise shop, located immediately to the left as you walk in.

The shop stocks Hard Rock Cafe-branded t-shirts, glasses, collectables and much more, making it a great place to grab a souvenir or gift.

One highlight for football fans (especially children) is the Captain Messi collection, which includes a Messi-themed t-shirt and backpack – a great choice for young fans of the football legend!

Service and Overall Experience

The service was friendly and efficient, with our food arriving promptly. Our server (Dagmara) was attentive without being overbearing and the staff made sure to check in on us throughout the meal. We noted that every table received the same high standard of service.

The quality of food was great for classic American-style cuisine and while it’s not the cheapest option in town, the portion sizes and flavours made it worth the price. If you enjoy hearty comfort food with a rock ‘n’ roll vibe, Hard Rock Cafe Manchester is definitely worth a visit.

Hard Rock Cafe Seasonal Deals – Check Socials Before You Visit!

One thing worth mentioning is that Hard Rock Cafe often runs seasonal deals and special offers, so it’s always a good idea to check their Hard Rock Facebook account before visiting. Whether it’s limited-time menu items, meal deals or exclusive promotions, you might just grab yourself a great deal!

The restaurant recently celebrated the Super Bowl with a fantastic deal which we featured on the Manchester Mummy Facebook page.
